Valve just released the Steam Deck a couple of weeks ago, yet another beautiful device natively powered by Linux, which is going to change the landscape of gaming on Linux forever. With this thread, I am going to post a little bit of info for ppl interested in making the jump from Windows to Linux or Mac. I play EQ2 on Linux via DXVK / Vulkan and performance / fps, loading times, stability and more are superior to the vanilla Windows client running on the now obsolete DirectX9 API. The goal here is to keep things simple for newcomers. Feel free to help out, if you know your way around Linux. As time goes by, I am going to slowly but steadily update this thread with more information, but only if I can find the time as a young father. Some of you might have already been following the topic here, here and here, so I thought it might be a good idea to create a dedicated thread in order to help keep things organized. Before we get started, make sure that your GPU is compatible with Vulkan:
